SUMMARY:35th Annual Jingle Bell Jog
DESCRIPTION:The Jingle Bell Jog route takes all runners and walkers over the Brooks Bridge which spans the Santa Rosa Sound and the Gulf Coast Intracoastal Waterway between downtown Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Jingle Bell Jog is a USATF Sanctioned event with a Certified 10 Kilometer route. The 10K is geared toward racers and avid runners\, other participants are invited to run with Family and push strollers in the 5K run and 5K walk.\n\n\n\nDo to the amount of runners we ask that you Please leave your Pets at home.\n\n\n\nAll events are open to everyone. Friends and family members\, both military and civilian\, are encouraged and invited to participate. The event begins and ends at the Uptown Station in Fort Walton Beach.\n\n\n\nWe want people to know that one hundred percent of all the race's proceeds go to the Special Forces Association "The Green Berets" Chapter 7\, a Veterans nonprofit all volunteer organization whose mission is to support the families of the 7th Special Forces Group with particular emphasis on providing support to the families of fallen warriors who made the ultimate sacrifice\; it is going to be a great run\, a great time\, and support a great cause.\n\n\n\nLast year we had 1205 runners! This year our goal is 2000 runners! Let your friends know and get the word out.\n\n\n\n10K and 5k Prizes will be awarded in both Male and Female categories to Overall winner\, Masters\, Grand Masters\, and Senior Grand Masters. Prizes will also be awarded to Male and Female first\, second and third place finishers in the Wheel Chair event and the following race age groups: 9 and below\, 10-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-34\, 35-39\, 40-44\, 45-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, 75-79\, and 80+\n\n\n\n5K Walk prizes will be awarded in both Male and Female categories for 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd Place finishers.\n\n\n\n\n\nTeams will comprise of 4 personnel with no gender stipulations. There are three team categories Military Team\, High School Team\, and General Team.
